How To Get Deleted Pictures Back on iPhone/iPad

Recently, we have published a post on how to retrieve deleted photos on Android. Even though Android is all about customizations and modifications to tweak the performance, iOS keeps things Simple, Secured and Robust.

Due to this, there are many fans for the Apple devices for the quality and security it offers, but these features make it harder to manipulate the device. So without any further delay, let’s learn how to recover deleted photos from iPhone or iPad in next 5 minutes.

Top 5 Tools to Recover Deleted Pictures/Photos from iPhone or iPad

1. Using the Photos App:

In the iOS devices, we have Photos (gallery app for iOS) which has all the images that are either captured or stored in the device. So if you willingly/accidentally deleted any image, there is always scope for getting that image back within the app itself. iOS itself provides the solution for this.

Step 1: Open the Photos app.

Step 2: Click the albums options at the bottom of the screen.

Step 3: When the albums are displayed, select “Recently Deleted” album and you can find all the photos that were deleted from the device.

Step 4:
Select the photo which was deleted and then tap on the “Restore” option to restore the pictures.

Note: All the images deleted from the Camera Roll will be stored in the Recently Deleted album for only 30 days, after that the photos will be permanently deleted from the device.

So it provides a lot of support to iOS as well apart from Android as we can see few of the modules were missing from Dr. Fone of Android Recovery.

There are a few steps that need to be followed for recovering the lost images.

Step 1: Download and install Wondershare Dr. Fone for iOS.

Step 2: Launch the software and connect your iOS device to the PC using the USB cable and the software will automatically detect your device.

5. Using Google Photos Application:

We have already seen what Google Photos is capable of, where we saw a technique for the Android device. So again we have the same steps repeated even here. But in iOS, it is more of a precautionary measure than the solution.

Step 1: Open the App drawer on your device and select Google Photos app.

Step 2: After that, you can see all the images that are or previously were stored in the device which has been backed up.

Google Photos >> Menu >> Device Folders >> Select the Folder >> Check backup and sync

Step 3: Select the photo which was deleted and in the menu select download/restore option, and the photo will be restored.

Notes:
– Note that iOS devices by default don’t get the Google Photos app, it has to be downloaded from the App Store and also a Google account has to be provided for it to back up to the linked account.

– Along with that, we need to enable auto backup for the folders when the app asks for it. Even if we don’t, later we can enable it by Open Google Photos >> Menu >> Device Folders >> Select the Folder >> Check backup and sync.

Since iOS is more secure and robust it doesn’t allow external modules to manipulate the device, yet applying these techniques discussed above will do it for you. I hope this post was useful and helped you’ll recover all those beautiful moments captured.
